Access:
・5 minutes from Tokyo Skytree Station (Tobu Skytree Line).
・As of Sept 3, 2025, construction may affect the main gate. Ask station staff for Hanamizaka Hiroba. From there, cross the street with Skytree behind you, walk straight under the Tobu railway tracks, continue ~100 m to a T-junction, turn right, and the shop is ~50 m ahead on the right.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before departure. Late arrivals may not be able to join.
Itinerary Highlights
Depart from the Skytree branch and head down Chuo-dori Avenue toward Akihabara, one of the main arterial roads on Tokyo’s east side. After ~20 minutes, you’ll reach Akihabara’s Electric Town, circling its arcades, anime shops, and game centers—the first highlight.
Next, follow Showa-dori toward Ueno, passing Ueno Park and JR Ueno Station. Continue on to Kappabashi, Tokyo’s famous kitchenware wholesale district, then drive directly in front of Kaminarimon Gate at Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa.
This area is especially striking for its mix of the old and the new: the historic streets of Asakusa, Tokyo’s most famous temple, and the towering Tokyo Skytree all side by side. After passing Kaminarimon, you’ll cross the Sumida River, ride alongside Skytree, and return to the shop.
Note: This is a 60-minute course, so there is no restroom break. Karts have bottle holders, and large bags can be stored at the shop or in the lead car.

・All staff carry intercoms for real-time coordination.
・All 100+ karts are insured (included in the tour fee), with coverage of up to ¥80 million for bodily injury, ¥2 million for property damage, and ¥5 million for passenger accidents.
・Karts are street-legal and inspected daily; certified mechanics are stationed at each branch.
・Highly rated on Google Reviews and winner of the 2024 KLOOK Award, the only public-road go-kart operator in Japan to achieve this.
Note: Helmets are not required by law. Drive on the left-hand side in Japan.
Why Choose This Tokyo Go Kart Tour?
Compared with other operators, JAPANKART karts are larger, sturdier, and more comfortable, featuring suspension and new-generation engines. All karts are finished in premium Nissan GT-R colors (R32 Gunmetal, R34 Blue, R35 Shining Orange), ensuring they look fantastic in photos.
This is the shortest and easiest of our four Tokyo courses—ideal for beginners, those uncertain about driving, or anyone seeking a quick but exciting ride. With both Tokyo Skytree and Senso-ji Temple within walking distance, it’s easy to combine with sightseeing.
