As this is a street-legal go-kart tour, you must bring the original, valid driving documents required in Japan on the day of the tour. Without them, you cannot join the tour, and refunds will not be provided.
The driving time is approximately 120 minutes, though this may vary depending on traffic. Before departure, there is a 15-minute safety briefing, and after the tour, photos taken during the ride will be shared. Please allow about 2 hours and 30 minutes in total.
Tours run four times daily at 09:45, 13:15, 16:45, and 20:00. For example, if you join the 20:00 tour, expect to finish around 22:30.
The Kanda branch operates almost every day except during the New Year holidays. In summer, only evening and night tours are available to avoid the heat. Each slot has 18 karts available, and spring and autumn tours often sell out quickly, so early booking is highly recommended.
Reservations must be made through the official booking site with advance payment. Online reservations close one hour before the tour, though walk-ins may be possible if slots remain.

Itinerary Highlights
The tour departs from the Kanda branch and heads toward the Imperial Palace. You’ll circle its northern perimeter, pass by Chidorigafuchi, one of Tokyo’s most famous cherry blossom spots, and continue to the National Diet Building.
From there, the route enters National Route 246, one of Tokyo’s major avenues, passing landmarks such as the Supreme Court, the Akasaka Imperial Estate, and the luxury-lined streets of Omotesando.
Next, you’ll enter the Shibuya area, racing down Miyamasuzaka before crossing the world-famous Shibuya Scramble—not once, but twice, including a thrilling return through Dogenzaka.
The route then winds through the backstreets of Roppongi toward the illuminated Tokyo Tower, one of the tour’s main highlights. (A restroom break is provided here. Karts are equipped with bottle holders, and larger bags can be stored at the shop or in the lead car.)
On the return trip, you’ll pass the Imperial Palace Outer Gardens and cruise past the historic buildings of Tokyo Station’s Marunouchi side, before finally heading back to the Kanda branch.
This 120-minute adventure showcases Tokyo’s western landmarks, from Shibuya and Omotesando to Tokyo Tower and beyond. It’s highly recommended for first-time visitors who want to efficiently see a wide range of Tokyo highlights.

Safety & Reliability
JAPANKART is the only operator in Japan that protects its kart groups with escort cars at both the front and rear, blocking lanes to ensure customer safety. All staff use intercoms to monitor traffic and customer driving, responding quickly as a team.
We own over 100 karts, all covered by insurance (included in the tour fee). Coverage includes:
・Bodily injury: up to ¥80 million
・Property damage: up to ¥2 million
・Passenger accident compensation: up to ¥5 million
Our karts are fully street-legal and comply with Japan’s Road Transport Vehicle Act. Every morning, staff test-drive all karts, and certified mechanics are stationed at each branch to keep vehicles in top condition.
Thanks to these measures, JAPANKART is highly rated on Google Reviews and was the only street kart operator to win the 2024 KLOOK Award.
Note: Helmets are not required under Japanese law. Traffic in Japan keeps to the left-hand side.
Why Choose This Tokyo Go Kart Tour?
Compared to other operators, JAPANKART’s karts are larger, sturdier, and painted in official Nissan GT-R colors (R32 Gunmetal, R34 Blue, R35 Shining Orange). They are designed not only for safety but also to look fantastic in photos.
Among our four Tokyo branches, the Shibuya & Tokyo Tower 120-Minute Tour is the most recommended course, covering more than half of the city’s major landmarks in one ride. It’s the perfect introduction to Tokyo, especially for first-time visitors.
