I love the attention to safety and so much fun! Accessories from costumes to phone mounts and they mounted my insta360 as well. Wear a mask if you are sensitive to fumes. I think the best placement for the insta360 is in front of you so that you can get the views of both your faces, driving, and the surroundings around you. Ours was behind us and I was the last car. Best experience and so very worth it! We went at 4 pm and it was great because we were out for the sunset.

Such a fun experience! I was nervous it was going to be scary and dangerous but they help make sure we were safe as possible. They had costumes for us to wear that they immediately put into a laundry bag after. They also had harnesses for us to mount/wear our phones to capture the moment. Afterwards the also sent us photos of our experience. 10/10 recommend!

If you come to Japan don’t miss out on doing Japankarts. Well organised and supervised we are all in our sixties and I felt extremely safe it was amazing. So much fun and a great way to see about the area and straight through the Shubiya crossing twice. A great thing to experience 👌

Moses was a great driver. I felt so safe the whole time with how well they explain things to us and how well they handle things. It was truly a one of a kind experience. I was nervous at first but it was very easy once you were driving for 10 mins. Also don’t be discouraged if it’s raining, it was honestly a lot of fun even tho it was raining. And we still went fast. The weather didn’t really affect that . If you are in Tokyo you must do this! Also the best route, since it’s not too busy and you get to see a lot of the city!

JAPANKART was an amazing experience to do the Go-Kart through Shinjuku. Me and my friends actually showed up on the wrong day and Raffy was still able to accommodate us on the spot, which we were incredibly grateful for. They were also taking photos of our group and individually in the karts. I would 100% recommend for everyone to experience it here. Explanations for how the karts are to be driven were given crystal clear!

Absolutely incredible experience with Japan Go Karting! This was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever done. The staff were extremely professional, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

What really stood out was their strong focus on safety while still keeping the experience fun and exciting. You always felt looked after and in good hands.

Although excited, we were a little nervous about driving in a foreign country, but after 5 minutes behind the wheel we were all smiles. The pre-drive safety training and guide cars along the route really prepared us for a safe and fun drive. There was a cool selection of costumes to choose from to wear along the ride and they even had chest mount available for holding our cellphones to record. It was a scenic drive with a few planned stops for photos. We did the sunset ride which was perfect because we got some time driving in both day and nighttime settings. You really get a chance to see the budding nightlife and people wave along the way. If you have the opportunity to do this while in Japan, do it!

Just Amazing! Recommend to everyone! You get very clear instructions about safety on road (about 20min) and then you go ride. The staff is great, they take care of you and even if you get a red light, they will manage situation very well. Just MUST-DO in Tokyo.

One of the best experiences in Japan. It was so much fun dressing up and riding the streets of Tokyo in a kart car. The organizers (japankart) where very professional and replied to our emails in a timely manner. They are friendly, VERY well organized, gave clear instructions, took photos of everyone and shared them with us. Their karts were clean, well maintained and modern. Definitely recommend them if you want to experience karting in Tokyo.

Visiting the JAPANKART Shinjuku Branch was honestly a dream come true. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly lovely, welcoming, and so helpful. They explained everything clearly, made sure I felt comfortable, and went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable.

The whole thing felt magical — driving through the streets of Tokyo in a kart is something I’ll never forget. If you’re thinking about doing it, don’t hesitate. JAPANKART Shinjuku made it absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

This experience was amazing. An awesome way to see the highlights of Tokyo!
To start the meeting facilities were bright and clean. We were greeted by friendly staff and it took just a few min to fill out paperwork. Then we got to choose our costumes. There was a great selection of clean costumes in nice condition that were included in our cost, which was really nice. We had fun going through them and deciding which character we’d be.
The safety briefing and review of operating of the go carts were very helpful and gave us confidence in driving in a foreign country, especially at dusk and after dark (which we highly recommend).
The go carts were easy to operate and well kept, in excellent condition.
What made It the best experience was the staff though. They were very friendly and helpful, and gave us a great experience. They were easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions without any problems. They took a ton of pictures, made sure we were safe and had an enjoyable time.
Overall this was a five star experience that we’d encourage anyone to do when they come to Tokyo.

Please reconsider when you decide to do this thing that local people despise.

Tokyo street karting has become a surprisingly disruptive presence in the city. While the idea may seem fun to visitors, the reality on the ground is far less charming. The karts add unnecessary air pollution to already busy streets and create sharp bursts of noise that clash with the calm, orderly environment Tokyo residents work hard to maintain.What many locals find frustrating is the sense that some participants overlook the city’s norms and safety expectations. Tokyo’s streets function smoothly because people follow shared rules, and when visitors ignore those standards, it feels inconsiderate to the community that hosts them.I genuinely hope more travelers take the time to understand how their activities affect the neighborhoods they pass through. Respect for local life is what makes travel meaningful.

I thought 2 hours was going to be too much time on the carts and that I would get bored… boy was I wrong! It was so much fun, the guy who runs the place is a total sweetheart and lighthearted. He and his staff genuinely wanted us to have a good time. We drove through Shibuya crossing, radio tower and many other Tokyo streets.

Just remember to get your international driver permit before you leave home. AAA does it online for like $20. No test or anything, just fill out the info online and get it in the mail about 7 days later.

I had an amazing experience with Japan Kart! The staff were professional, friendly, and made the whole process easy from start to finish. I honestly can’t recommend Japan Kart enough — this was hands down one of the highlights of my trip to Japan.

I had originally booked a 90-minute go-kart experience in Shibuya, but due to some poor planning on my part (lesson learned 😅), I was staying in Yokohama — about an hour away with no direct train line. My partner and I ended up arriving about 20 minutes late and completely missed the safety briefing, so I thought we had no chance of making it.

But the team at Japan Kart were incredibly understanding and accommodating. Instead of turning us away, they went out of their way to reschedule us for the next available session and made the whole process completely stress-free. That level of customer service really stood out.

A special shoutout to Raffi, who made the entire experience even more enjoyable — friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure we had an unforgettable time.

As for the experience itself — absolutely unreal. There’s honestly no better way to explore the city, cover a lot of ground, and take in some of the most iconic sights. It’s fun, unique, and something you’ll remember long after your trip ends.

If you’re travelling to Japan, do yourself a favour and book this. You won’t regret it.

We had an amazing experience with our Japan cart tour in Tokyo. This was easily one of the most fun and unique things we did during our trip. Driving through the streets of Tokyo in a street kart is something you have to try at least once.

Miu was our guide and she was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, professional, and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable the entire time. She kept the group organized, explained everything clearly, and brought great energy to the experience.

The route itself was incredible, we got to see some of the best parts of the city while riding, and it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Everything was well organized from start to finish, and the staff made it easy and stress-free.

If you’re visiting Tokyo and looking for a fun, unforgettable activity, I highly recommend this Japan street kart tour. And if you can, ask for Miu, she made the experience even better.

Going it at night was really cool with the entire city lit up.
I did the Shibuya crossing-Tokyo Tower option.
Guides were great, good orientation at the beginning to make sure the group had a fun time. Loved the costumes as well.

First time to try Japankart and I have to say it’s a must especially if you’re in Tokyo for the first time. I have been to Tokyo several times already and I’m happy we gave it a try as a family! i felt like I was in fast and furious but of course with caution. The staff were very accommodating and made sure that we were good all through out. They made sure to instruct us detail by detail.

It was an awesome experience!! We already have plans to go back this upcoming December and definitely doing this again!!

We had the most amazing time! Words cannot express how amazing it was. It was super easy to book and the staff was very friendly. We loved everything that was included in the price from the onesie, the snacks, the body accessory to hold your phone so you could take your own pictures and videos and the pictures they took of us as we drove. My son was so happy we talked him into going with us or he would’ve missed out on such an awesome experience. We booked the 120 min. Shibuya crossing tour. Soooo worth it. It’s all we talked about all night! We had so much fun!
