Experience Go Kart Tokyo Safely: How JAPANKART Keeps You Protected

Joining a go-kart tour in Tokyo should be both thrilling and safe. At JAPANKART, we make sure every participant enjoys the excitement of driving through Tokyo’s iconic streets with total peace of mind. From detailed pre-departure briefings to professional guides, well-maintained karts, and full insurance coverage, our commitment to safety is at the heart of every experience.

Pre-Departure Briefing

1. Safety Video on Japanese Road Rules (5 minutes)

Before departure, all participants watch a short video that covers the essentials of driving safely in Japan. This includes how to navigate intersections, read traffic lights and stop signs, follow local road rules, and handle unexpected situations on public roads.

2. Hands-On Kart Operation Training (5 minutes)

After the video, our staff provide a hands-on explanation of kart controls using an actual vehicle. This includes how to get in and out, start the engine, and use indicators and the horn.

3. Route Explanation (2–3 minutes)

Finally, staff explain the specific route of the tour so you know exactly what to expect before departure.

Professional Guides: Lead & Follow System

At JAPANKART, customer safety during the tour is our top priority. That’s why we always provide a lead car and a follow car for every tour. On some routes—such as Shibuya at night or when the group has more than 11 karts—we also add a support motorcycle.

Lead Car (Front Guide)

・Sets the route and signals lane changes.

・Because cars are taller than karts, participants at the back can easily spot the lead vehicle.

・Unlike competitors who often guide with only karts or small bikes, we ensure greater visibility and safety with a car guide.

Follow Car (Rear Support Vehicle)

・Drives behind the group using a large Toyota Hiace van.

・Prevents other vehicles from colliding with the kart convoy.

・Provides immediate support in case of mechanical issues or accidents.

・Can guide participants if the group becomes split at a traffic signal.

Support Motorcycles (When Needed)

・Added for high-traffic tours (e.g., Shibuya on Friday or Saturday nights) or when the group exceeds 11 karts.

Instant Communication

・Every staff member carries an intercom, ensuring real-time communication and quick response to any situation.

Regular Kart Maintenance

・Daily Inspections: Staff test every kart each morning—checking brakes, lights, tires, mirrors, engine sound, and overall performance.

・Certified Mechanics: Each store has qualified mechanics on site. We also operate our own maintenance facility in Tokyo and keep spare karts ready for backup.

・Always Reliable: With both people and facilities prepared, we can quickly address any issue and keep all vehicles in top condition.

Why You Can Trust JAPANKART’s Safety

・Clear explanations of Japanese road rules before departure.

・A lead car and follow car always protect the group during the tour.

・Daily inspections of every kart.

・Certified mechanics stationed at each store.

・Intercoms for all staff, ensuring quick and coordinated responses in emergencies.

・Above all, safety is our number one priority.

Testimonials

・The tour was not only exciting but also surprisingly comfortable. The guides explained everything clearly, so I could relax and enjoy the ride.

・Driving through Tokyo’s famous spots in a kart felt unreal. It was fun, safe, and definitely a memory I’ll never forget.

・I was impressed with how well-organized everything was. From the briefing to the follow car support, safety was always a top priority.
